BDI Debuts Launch of Re-Engineered Elements Media + Storage Collection
Enhanced Design Elevates Door Aesthetic, Storage Space and A/V-Centric Features
CHANTILLY, VA — Oct. 25, 2024 —BDI introduces the Elements Media + Storage collection, re-engineered to bring the beauty and functionality of adjustable storage to another level. The collection fuses modern sophistication with timeless versatility, featuring a thoughtfully engineered chassis, new low-profile rolling base and captivating door designs.
This show-stopping design is made possible with intricate, laser-carved doors, available in three door patterns, three finishes and staged on two distinct base styles. Yet beyond its beautifully crafted exterior, Elements was built with thoughtful features that make it practical for modern home theater and storage needs.
“We re-engineered Elements from the ground up to make it more versatile, more functional, and more in tune with the needs of today’s homes,” said Matthew Weatherly, Associate Design Director and the designer behind the collection. “Crafted with thoughtful features for the design and A/V enthusiast alike, Elements boasts an alluring aesthetic that makes it a centerpiece for any space."
The four-door cabinet boasts precision-carved designs that highlight the natural cathedrals of real wood, bringing depth and dimension to each piece. The new striking door patterns include:
Constellation: This pattern takes inspiration from the beauty of the night sky. The intricate laser-cut designs evoke the mystique of a starry night, adding a touch of celestial elegance to any room.
Tune: Inspired by the rhythmic patterns of sound waves, Tune brings a dynamic, contemporary feel to the collection. Blending technology with art, this design is like turning music into design.
Weave: For a softer, more organic aesthetic, this pattern features flowing, interwoven lines that create a tactile, calming texture. It’s a design that adds warmth and a sense of connectedness to any space.
Elements also has two base options which include an elegant console base, for a higher platform aesthetic, as well as a low-profile rolling plinth base, which is an ideal solution for larger TVs. Designed to accommodate a full home theater setup or a range of storage needs, Elements offers a feature-rich design for any space:
New door construction creates a larger area for the door patterns, elevating the aesthetic, but also enhancing the cabinet’s functionality.
Door panels are backed by a fabric liner to enhance the flow-through of air, sound and remote signals, while keeping inside contents hidden.
The addition of sleek door pulls adds a touch of modern elegance, plus soft-close hinges ensure a quiet and smooth closure every time.
Generous interior spaces offer plenty of room for storage; adjustable glass shelves are designed to take up less room and keep interior spaces versatile and airy.
Cabinet includes sound-absorbing felt back panels that eliminate vibrations and are lightweight enough for easy removal and access to the rear of components.
Rolling plinth base includes hidden wheels to help maneuver the cabinet, while an internal leveling system compensates for uneven flooring. Console base also includes feet levelers.
With its plinth base, Elements measures 24”H x 82.5”W x 20”D, while the console base measures 30”H x 82.5”W x 20”D. Elements Media + Storage features hardwood veneers available in BDI’s popular Natural Walnut finish and the elegant new Washed Oak and Toasted Oak finishes.
The collection will debut at the Fall High Point Market in the BDI Showroom, IHFC D724.
