BDI Introduces the Linea Collection
New Office and Shelving Designs Merge Refined Style with Function
CHANTILLY, VA — June 1, 2021 — BDI, a premiere furniture designer and manufacturer of office, storage and entertainment solutions, today announced its new Linea Collection, which features a full suite of office furniture and adaptable shelving. Designed by Matthew Weatherly, the full collection will be showcased at the High Point Market in BDI’s showroom, IHFC D536.

Linea Office
Combining refined style with function to offer a complete home office solution, Linea Office features multiple products and configurations. Designed with premium materials and a streamlined aesthetic, Linea Office includes the following designs:
Linea Desk 6221 offers a generous desktop size (54" x 23.75") with a full-width lined keyboard drawer. It also features easy-to-access front and back panels and a flip-down power management ledge for concealed wire management.
Linea Console Desk 6222 has a slim profile (47.75” x 18”) that suits many applications, including laptop use and for smaller office footprints. It also features a full-width lined keyboard drawer and is compatible for use with the Linea Mobile File 6227.
Linea Work Desk 6223 includes a large desktop (60" x 22") for additional workspace. A reversible wire management trough can be mounted to face the front or back of the desk, and includes a power strip mounting kit.
Linea Work Desk Return 6224 provides additional workspace to the Work Desk 6223. It is fully finished on all sides so it can float in a room, and its steel construction offers sturdy support.
Linea Mobile File 6227 offers secure single-lock storage and features a top supply drawer and lower hanging file drawer. Casters move the file cabinet where its needed and lock to keep it in place.
Linea Multifunction Cabinet 6220 includes the most storage of the collection. The cabinet features a top supply drawer and a lateral file drawer, as well as a cabinet door that conceals a push-to-open tray for large devices such as printers or shredders. The unit also includes a removable access panel behind the printer compartment.
Linea Shelves
Linea Shelves can be used to create a compact bookshelf or a complete wall system. Combining open shelving and enclosed storage, the collection is available as a single or double-width shelf which can be combined as multiple units, allowing you to create endless shelving configurations – a wonderful alternative to built-in shelving.
Linea also functions as a room divider, securely anchored to the wall on one side. The design is accented by fixed glass shelves that float in the upper tier, while soft-close doors conceal additional storage with an adjustable glass shelf inside. Interior compartments feature a generous cutout on the bottom shelf for wire routing and management. Linea shelves are available in the following models:
Linea Shelves 5801/5801A offers a narrow footprint and can be set on its own or combined with other shelves in the system to create the ideal display and storage solution. This model offers a single storage compartment with an adjustable shelf. The 5801A extension unit is used to expand the system to any length desired.
Linea Shelves 5802/5802A is a double bookcase with glass shelves that combines open and enclosed storage, perfect on its own or as the foundation for a complete Linea wall system or room divider. The two-door storage compartment offers a deep interior space with an adjustable shelf. The 5802A extension unit is used to expand the system to any length desired.
Linea is available in Natural Walnut, Charcoal-Stained Ash and Satin White finishes. The collection is shipping now and is available through stores around the world and online.
